MotoWrench Privacy Policy

Overview

MotoWrench is a motorcycle maintenance tracker. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Data We Collect

• Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address, display name, and profile photo URL. Anonymous (guest) users do not provide any personal information.
• Service records: Motorcycle details (nickname, odometer readings), maintenance history, service photos, and notes you enter in the app.
• Crash and diagnostic data: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information to improve app stability.
• Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate. This data is not linked to your identity.

How We Use Your Data

• Sync: Your service records are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) so you can access them across devices.
• AI Mechanic: When you ask the AI Mechanic a question, your query and relevant bike context are sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate a response. Queries are not stored beyond the session.
• Crash reporting: Crash data helps us identify and fix bugs.
• Analytics: Aggregate usage data helps us improve the app experience.

Third-Party Services

MotoWrench uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase: Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage, Crashlytics, Analytics, and AI (Gemini). See Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Google Sign-In: For authentication. See Google Privacy Policy.
• Apple Sign-In: For authentication. See Apple Privacy Policy.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase servers. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Service photos are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings > Delete Account within the app. This permanently removes your account, all garage and service records, and all photos from our servers.

Children’s Privacy

MotoWrench is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
